ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM

The Administrative Team meets monthly for the purpose of leading the work of the Association between annual and Executive Committee meetings. The Administrative Team consists of the Moderator, Vice-Moderator, Clerk/ Treasurer, GBC Executive Committee Member, the Associational Missionary, all team leaders of the other teams, and all heads of Associational organizations.

Some of the duties of the Administrative Team include planning annual meetings of the Association; overseeing matters concerning church membership in the Association; studying the financial status of the Association, supervising expenditures of the Associational funds as directed by the budget, and bringing recommendations to the Executive Committee concerning expenditures of money not otherwise specified by the budget; presenting a proposed budget to the Fall Annual Session of the Association; encouraging Christian stewardship in the churches and shall keep churches informed about tax matters that affect them.

MISSIONS FOCUS TEAM

The Missions Focus Team shall take the initiative to meet the evangelism and mission needs of our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, to the ends of the earth. This team consists of the WMU Director, the Men’s Ministries Director, three members at large, and the Associational Missionary.

This Missions Focus team is given the task to envision and implement strategies for evangelism that may include clinics, conferences, and programs so the churches may have opportunities for inspiration and training in evangelism. This team shall envision and implement strategies of mission action and mission education that will strengthen the mission program in the local church. This team shall envision and implement church planting, here and abroad. This team shall also envision and implement ministries that would involve and support ministry efforts of the churches.This team shall also promote and encourage disaster relief efforts.

Any member of a CCBA church who has a concern/ministry idea that involves this team may become a temporary member of the team upon recommendation by the Administrative Team.

CHURCH FOCUS TEAM

The Church Focus Team shall envision and implement strategies, conferences and clinics which will strengthen Church Leadership, Bible teaching and Open Groups, Discipleship, and Vacation Bible School programs in the local church. This team consists of the Vacation Bible School Director, three at large members, and the Associational Missionary.

Any member of a CCBA church who has a concern/ministry idea that involves this team may become a temporary member of the team upon recommendation by the Administrative Team.

PRAYER FOCUS TEAM

The Prayer Focus Team shall seek to keep prayer concerns before the churches by developing prayer strategies for the Association, by meeting regularly to pray for the needs of the churches and by developing a prayer network throughout the Association. This team consists of five at large members, and the Associational Missionary.

Any member of a CCBA church who has a concern/ministry idea that involves this team may become a temporary member of the team upon recommendation by the Administrative Team.

 

TEAM CONSIDERATIONS

All at large team members shall be elected by the Association at its Fall Annual Meeting upon recommendation of the Nominating Committee with their service to begin immediately after the Fall Annual Meeting. The Nominating Committee shall seek those to be at large members of teams who have a “giftedness” and “calling” in that particular area.

All team members will receive training in working as teams, particularly in the implementation and empowerment possibilities that are intrinsic in the team process.

All team members and other officers of the Association shall be asked to serve for twelve (12) months, with no restrictions on serving longer if they and the Nominating Committee agree. The only exception shall be the Moderator and Vice-Moderator.

All team meetings shall be “open” meetings, with any member of a participating church in the Association welcome to attend. The only exception will be an Administrative Team meeting where personnel or other issues necessitate a “closed” meeting.
